A detailed breakdown of program tuition and fees is available by visiting Niner Central. Tuition for new MBA students reflects a special increase approved by the University of North Carolina Board of Governors. All tuition revenue generated through the special increase will be allocated to the MBA program to improve student services, enhance orientation and special programs, and lay the foundation for future growth in the program.

Information on NC resident status for tuition purposes is available from the North Carolina Residency Determination Service.

UNC Charlotte is a publicly supported institution. Tuition payments and other required student fees meet only a part of the total cost of the education of students enrolled. On average, for each full-time student enrolled in an institution of the University of North Carolina, the State of North Carolina appropriated $12,868 per year in public funds to support the educational programs offered.

Financial Awards

MBA Program Scholarships

The MBA Enhancement scholarship program was established in 2005 to attract high-quality candidates to the Professional MBA Program. Each academic year, the MBA Admissions Committee will award Enhancement Scholarships to new students entering the program.

Recipients will be selected on the basis of merit (previous academic GPA and GMAT or GRE score). Award amounts will vary, depending on the candidate's qualifications.

Enhancement Scholarship recipients may be full-time or part-time students (generally 6 credit hour minimum). All students admitted by March 1 will automatically be considered for scholarship awards. No additional application is required.

Graduate Assistantships

There are a limited number of graduate assistantships available for MBA students in the Belk College of Business each academic year. Graduate Assistants typically work 20 hours per week, assisting faculty with class preparation and research.

Graduate Assistants must be enrolled full-time and maintain a 3.0 GPA. They should not be employed elsewhere during their appointment as a graduate assistant. For a complete list of policies and conditions of appointment, visit the Graduate School website.
