International MBA Dual Degrees: Monterrey, Mexico

The Belk College of Business at UNC Charlotte, in partnership with the Graduate School of Business Administration and Leadership (EGADE) at Tecnológico de Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico, offers a dual degree Master’s program: Global Business and Strategy, Dual MBA and Graduate Certificate. You’ll earn two MBA degrees: one from UNC Charlotte and one from EGADE.  Students also receive a Graduate Certificate in Global Business and Strategy jointly issued from EGADE and the Belk College of Business. 

The program is taught in English in Monterrey, Mexico. Students in the program have the option of taking one semester at the Belk College of Business in Charlotte, NC.

Admissions

Admission to the Dual Degree MBA with specialization in Global Business and Strategy (MBA-GBS) program requires completing the application process at both UNC Charlotte and EGADE. Applicants must meet the admission requirements for both universities.

The Dual Degree MBA program admission requirements are listed below:

  • An official TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo score to demonstrate English proficiency.
    • TOEFL: Minimum score of 83 internet-based is required 
    • IELTS: Minimum overall band score of 6.5 is required.  
    • Duolingo: Minimum overall score required is 115
  • A bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, from an accredited college or university
  • Official transcript (one from each institution) of all previous academic work attempted beyond high school
  • A grade point average of 3.0 or better (based on a 4.0 scale) on all of the applicant’s previous work beyond high school
  • Three academic or professional recommendations
  • A statement of purpose describing the applicant’s experience and objective in undertaking graduate study
  • A resume or a curriculum vitae (CV)
  • A minimum of three years of work experience is preferred.
  • A minimum GMAT/PAEP score of 575.  
Curriculum

To complete the UNC Charlotte MBA degree, students must complete a total of 36 credit hours (24 credit hours must be taken from the Belk College of Business faculty).  The required 36 credit hours does not include preparatory classes.

Tuition + Fees

Our agreement with the EGADE Business School gives them responsibility for collecting tuition payments in order to make currency conversion and payment options easier for the student.

Approximate tuition costs are:

  • A trimester for a full-time student is $6,190 USD (or $25,269 MXP).
  • The summer session for a full-time student is $4,128 USD.

MBA Dual degrees

MBA + Master’s of Health Administration

This 66 credit hour dual degree program allows students to earn both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Belk College of Business and a Master of Health Administration (MHA) degree from the College of Health and Human Services.

Admissions

Students must apply to each program separately and be admitted to both programs by the published census date of the third semester (including Summer). No admission requirements established by the Graduate School or by either individual program may be waived.

Requirements

Dual degree students must satisfy all MHA and MBA individual degree requirements with the added benefit of sharing a limited number of credits between the two programs. See the Shared Courses section in the Graduate Catalog for permissible course sharing.

MBA + M.S. in Mathematical Finance

This 54 credit hour dual degree program allows students to earn both a Master of Science in Mathematical Finance (MAFI) degree and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Belk College of Business.

Admissions

Students must apply to each program separately and be admitted to both programs by the published census date of the third semester (including Summer). No admission requirements established by the Graduate School or by either individual program may be waived.

Requirements

Dual degree students must satisfy all MAFI and MBA individual degree requirements with the added benefit of sharing a limited number of credits between the two programs. See the Shared Courses section in the Graduate Catalog for permissible course sharing.

MBA + M.S. in Real Estate

This 56 credit hour dual degree program allows students to earn both a Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Belk College of Business.

Admissions

Students must apply to each program separately and be admitted to both programs by the published census date of the third semester (including Summer). No admission requirements established by the Graduate School or by either individual program may be waived.

Requirements
